Dean Edwards
July 1-3

Born in the Bronx and raised throughout various parts of New York, Dean's travels have made it easy for him to communicate with all walks of life. His career began over a decade ago in a college talent show.

Always the multi-tasker, Dean divided his college career between classes, and a 6 year term in the U.S. Army reserves. Although his fellow soldier's loved his impression of their drill sergeant, Dean spent many an afternoon doing push-ups for his comedic talent.

After graduating with a degree in communications, Dean began performing more often and has since earned a reputation as a headlining favorite. Club & college crowds nationwide consider him a hot new talent on the rise.

His comedic approach is reminiscent of Will Smith because of his mainstream appeal to all audiences.

Ironically, his first Big Break was on Russel Simmons' Def Comedy Jam, a show reknowned for it's blue humor. Subsequently, he was a featured comedian on Showtime at the Apollo a few years later. Dean followed his t.v. appearances with some commercial work and even worked with Spike Lee on the Original Kings of Comedy feature film.

After 2 seasons on Saturday Night Live, Dean has already made his mark with such memorable impressions as Michael Jackson and Denzel Washington and original characters such as "Man in elevator" and "Cop#2". Dean has pushed himself to the limits of creativity and exhaustion, juggling his SNL career, his numerous standup appearances (including his recent appearance on Comedy Central's USO Comedy Tour), and his childhood goal as UN goodwill ambassador to Lesotho. After more than a decade of comedy, Dean feels he's just getting started...

...and in more good news, Dean's 1983 application to Wal-mart has been approved. Fortunately, he's found work elsewhere.
